Privacy Policy & Terms of Donation

VeteranHeartPlus ("we", "our", "the Foundation") is a registered non-profit in Ukraine. Registration № [UA-REG-NUMBER] — headquartered at [legal address].

This document explains:

  • A) how we collect and use your personal data and
  • B) the legal terms that apply when you support us through one-time gifts or recurring subscriptions.

A. Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect & why

  • Donation details – amount, currency, date, LiqPay payment ID, order ID.
    • Process the payment • Issue receipts • Accounting & anti-fraud

  • E-mail address
    • Send receipt & impact updates • Allow "one-click" cancellation of subscriptions
    Legal basis: legitimate interest / contract

  • Cookies / tracking – none. We set essential cookies for site functionality. Optional cookies (analytics, embedded media, external fonts) are only loaded after you click "Accept all cookies".

2. Who processes your data

  • LiqPay (JSC “PrivatBank”) – payment processing (Ukraine).
    Safeguards: PCI-DSS, TLS encryption.
  • Netlify Inc. – website hosting (USA).
    Safeguards: SCCs + Netlify DPA.
  • Supabase Inc. – database & backups (EU – Frankfurt).
    Safeguards: encryption at rest.

We never store full card numbers or CVV codes.

3. Data retention

  • Donation records – 7 years (accounting law).
  • E-mail address – kept while you have an active subscription + 2 years for dispute resolution, then deleted / anonymised.
  • Server logs – 90 days.

4. Your rights

You may access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your data.

B. Terms of Donation

1. Nature of your gift

All payments are irrevocable charitable donations supporting VeteranHeartPlus programmes.
They are not tax-deductible in the US/EU at this time.

2. Payment methods

Donations and subscriptions are processed by LiqPay.
By clicking "Donate" or "Subscribe" you agree to LiqPay’s Public Offer and these terms.

3. Recurring subscriptions – what the form wording means

  • Billing frequency (“Monthly”) – your card is charged every month for the amount shown.
  • One-click cancel – use the link in any receipt e-mail or press “Stop subscription” on our site.

We comply with the US FTC “click-to-cancel” rule and EU consumer law – cancellation is immediate and incurs no fee.

4. Refund policy

  • One-time donation: refund requests accepted within 14 days if made in error.
  • Subscription charge: we will refund the last transaction if you notify us within 30 days of the charge.

5. Use of funds

Unless a campaign is explicitly restricted, we may allocate your gift to the highest-priority rehabilitation needs of Ukrainian defenders.
If we cannot reasonably apply a restricted donation as instructed, we will either

  1. ask you to remove the restriction; or
  2. refund the amount.

6. Liability

The website is provided “as is”.
We are not liable for indirect damages or losses beyond the amount you donated, except as required by mandatory law.

7. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by Ukrainian law.
Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ukraine, Kyiv City.

C. Changes to this document

We may update these terms to reflect legal or operational changes.
Last revision date appears at the top of the page.
Significant changes will be announced on the home page or by e-mail to active subscribers.
